Questions worth answering
What does the AI actually do?
It transcribes your footage, reads the transcript against your brief, picks the passages worth keeping, and assembles them into a timeline — with cuts placed on the beat, captions styled and transitions chosen. What it hands back is an editable project, not a rendered file.
Do I have to install anything?
No. Magecut runs in the browser. Import, timeline and preview work locally; transcription and cloud rendering are the only steps that use a server.
Can I edit by hand?
That is the point. You get a full timeline — tracks, trimming, speed, keyframes, effects — and everything the agent produced is an ordinary object you can move or delete. One action, one undo.
Which formats are supported?
MP4, WebM, MOV, AVI and the other common containers on import. Export is MP4 (H.264) or WebM (VP9) up to 4K, at whatever bitrate and aspect ratio you need.
Will the export match what I saw?
Yes, and not by luck: the preview and the export are drawn by the same renderer, so an effect cannot look one way on screen and another way in the file.
How long does rendering take?
Roughly 30–60 seconds per minute of video, depending on resolution and how many effects are in play. Pro and Team plans get priority on the render queue.
Is there a limit on video length?
Five minutes on the free plan. Pro and Team have no length limit.
